Experience

Scott has a wealth of experience in litigation, from Criminal Litigation including Police Station Representation, Magistrates Court, Crown Court and Appeals to Civil Litigation (both Plaintiff and Defence) including Small Claims Court, District Judges Court, County Court and High Court. As well as this, Scott has extensive experience in Residential Property including sales, purchases, remortgages, private tenancies and inter party transfers; in Commercial Property including sales, purchases, leases and agreements to lease and lender security and in a range of ancillary matters including, EJO, consumer law, debt recovery, benefits, statutory demands, set asides and employment.

Background

Scott read Law at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne graduating in 2001. He then completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Northumbria University before commencing his Training Contract with one of Northern Irelands leading Commercial Law Firms. Scott qualified as a Solicitor in the jurisdiction of England & Wales as well as in Northern Ireland in 2008. Since then he has worked in a leading Boutique Civil Litigation Firm and has been a Principal in Private Practice. He joined McManus Kearney in June 2014.
